Stress Awareness Day

Today is Stress Awareness Day!

We will be highlighting the ways that stress can affect people and what you can do to manage your stress before it becomes a problem. Millions around the UK experience stress and it is damaging to our health and wellbeing. Here at the surgery we are focussing on the ‘Better Health – Every Mind Matters’ programme which promotes mental wellbeing as well as addressing the four most commonly reported, subclinical mental health concerns: anxiety, low mood, stress and trouble sleeping.

The programme offers a range of evidence-based self-care actions and free resources designed to help our patients take care of their own mental health and prevent common concerns from escalating into mental health disorders. Search for ‘Every Mind Matters’ online, or follow our Facebook page to find out more!

We have FREE access to resources provided by the Every Mind Matters programme designed to enable people to become aware of their own stressors and promote, and provide hints and tips relating to self care in these situations.

To access these just visit NHS – Every Mind Matters and answer 5 simple questions to get your personalised mental health action plan with tips and advice to help you be kind to your mind.

Make sure you also sign up to the 4-week email programme for reminders and to swap in new tips. Doing the small things can make a big difference!
