National Volunteers Week

Posted on:

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities.

Join us at The Blackmore Vale Partnership this year to celebrate and inspire!

Volunteers Week takes place 1-7 June every year. It’s a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and say thank you.

Did you know we have some fantastic volunteers that work with us here at The Blackmore Vale Partnership? People from our local community working to make sure the best kind of care and support is on offer to our patients.

Volunteers’ Week 2023 is a time to celebrate and inspire. We aim to highlight that our diversity is our strength, show that there’s more than one way to volunteer and encourage people to be the change that we want to see. Volunteers are always active at the heart of every UK community. So taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate and recognise their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole have never been more important.

If you want to get involved why not enquire with our Wellbeing Team? You don’t need any special qualifications, or previous experience… simply just a kind heart, a bit of life experience and a passion to make a difference! We have an amazing Patient Participation Group and our lovely Health Champions and are always on the look out for others to join us!

We have many different support groups running everything between weekly and monthly, catering to all different needs and issues, and we couldn’t possibly run these without our volunteers!

This volunteer week we want to take this opportunity to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to those who give up their time to support others!
